ABOUT MANONI SPORTS CLUB

Manoni Sports Club was established in 1999 by a small group of professionals from Venda, Limpopo. The name Manoni means “Bird” in Venda, encapsulating our spirit to sour as we strive for excellence. The club has since grown from strength to strength boasting over 200 members currently. We are a multicultural membership brought together by our love for running and living a healthy lifestyle.

Manoni Sports Club is a virtual club that is currently seeking a home base to cater for its active and vibrant members. We have a close relationship with Pirates Sports Club in Greenside, whom we have co-hosted many events with. The club hosts training runs that attract large number from the running community. Over the past years, we have had a strong presence at the Comrades Marathon and Two Oceans Marathon respectively, having a representation of over 100 members in our black and white colours running these popular events.

Two Oceans Training Run

Good day Nonis

In view of the COVID-19 and the President’s pronouncement, ASA has decided to suspend all athletics activities including road running for the next 30 days. Manoni EXCO has since made a decision to cancel the Manoni Two Oceans 50km training run scheduled for the 28th March 2020.

We will continue to monitor the situation closely for the next 30 days when the government and ASA will make further announcements regarding the suspension. Once we have direction, we will make a decision on the Manoni Epic 60km.
